As with all evolutionary cycles, some species will cease to exist.  Some will adapt and become almost unrecognisable.  But one thing is for certain - there will be no cockroaches: no lowly insect life that manages to stay the same by presenting a toughened shell to predators and skittering under doormats when things get really bad, to emerge later - unchanged.
